Lake Ternsche is a little natural gem in the heart of the Münsterland – and from Lake House you reach it in just a few steps. Swim, float, watch the water glisten: relaxation begins right here at your own jetty.
The lake invites you to swim and unwind – with surprisingly much calm and privacy. From your own bathing jetty you step straight into the cool water, then dry off in the sun on the lakeside terrace. Early in the morning mist often hangs over the water, and in the evening the sky glows above the water lilies – a sight you won't soon forget.
A few steps further on, the public beach area awaits with its sandy shore and lawn – ideal for a day by the water with the whole family.
Anglers will be in their element here: on the far side of the lake – at the clubhouse of the Angelsportverein Dortmund 1091 e.V. – you can purchase a day permit.

The view across the mirror-smooth surface of the water in the early morning is worth the walk in itself – with or without a rod.

Climbing above the lake, coffee with a lake view or a flat bike ride along the Lippe – around Lake Ternsche there is something for every mood.
Balance, climb, splash into the water: the floating obstacle course right on the lake is huge fun for young and old (suitable from around age 6). Life jackets and helmets are included – it's best to book your time slots online in advance, especially at weekends.

Pizza, snacks and daily specials with a terrace and a view over the water – relaxed beach atmosphere, well above average for a café by the lake. Open Wed–Sun; on hot days it pays to arrive early.

The Münsterland is cycling country: flat, wide and green. A loop around the lake, along the Lippe or through the Lippe meadows – the routes are easy-going and beautiful. Bikes can be stored in the shelter at the house.
