House Rules
Friendly guidance so that everyone feels at home and our house by the lake stays in its beautiful condition.
Dear guests,
we are delighted to welcome you to our exceptional holiday home on Lake Ternsche. So that everyone feels comfortable and the house stays in its good condition, we kindly ask you to observe the following notes. Thank you very much for your understanding and consideration.
Arrival and departure
- Arrival from 3:00 pm, departure by 11:00 am. Please arrange any different times with us in advance.
- The house has an electronic lock – please enter your personal access code to open it.
- On arrival: please briefly check the condition of the house and report any damage to us immediately.
- On departure: please leave the house in a tidy condition.
Your stay
- The house is designed for a maximum of 8 people (depending on your booking). A sofa serving as an emergency bed is located in the table-tennis room in the basement.
- Additional people may only stay overnight by prior arrangement with the host.
- Camping on the property is not permitted.
Caring for the furnishings
- Please treat the furniture, household appliances and equipment with care.
- Please let us know immediately about any damage or defects you notice – we are grateful for every report.
- Please do not move or rearrange the furniture.
- Please use candles only in safe glass holders and never leave them burning unattended.
- Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the house.
Ventilation and heating
- Please air the rooms briefly and thoroughly each day with windows wide open – no permanently tilted windows during the cold season.
- Please close the windows when it rains and when leaving the house.
- Please do not set the heating above 21 °C.
- Please do not overheat the bathrooms to dry laundry.
Waste separation
Please separate your waste according to the local guidelines:
- Residual waste → “Residual waste” bin in the kitchen or the black wheelie bin
- Paper & cardboard → “Paper” bin in the kitchen or the blue wheelie bin
- Packaging (plastic, metal) → yellow bin in the kitchen or the yellow wheelie bin
- Glass → please dispose of it yourself at the nearest glass container
- Organic waste → brown wheelie bin
- Please do not dispose of bulky or hazardous waste in the house.
- Please empty the bins into the outdoor wheelie bins regularly.
- You will find bin bags in the upper flap of the waste collector in the kitchen.
Kitchen
- Please clean the kitchen after every use – worktop, stove and sink.
- Please do not leave food out in the open to avoid attracting insects and rodents.
- Please empty the fridge completely on departure.
- Please do not leave any food behind.
Games room
- The games room with a table-tennis table and a dartboard is located in the basement.
- Please do not enter the room in outdoor shoes.
- Please handle the equipment with care.
Sauna
- There is an infrared sauna in the basement. Use is at your own risk.
- Please switch the sauna off after use and clean it.
Televisions
- There are 5 televisions in the house. Please treat them with care and switch them off when not in use. Reception runs via the internet.
- Please do not misplace the remote controls.
- If you sign in to a personal account (e.g. Netflix), please remember to sign out again before departure.
Towels, bed linen and toilet paper
- One hand towel and one bath towel are provided for each resident.
- Before departure, please strip the bed linen and simply place it together with the towels on the floor of the room.
Pets
- Bringing pets – including dogs – is not permitted.
- Where exceptions have been agreed in advance, the following applies: animals may not sleep on the furniture, and they must always be supervised while in the house.
Quiet hours and consideration
- Quiet hours apply from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am.
- Please keep music and loud conversation outdoors low from 9:00 pm.
- Please be considerate of the neighbours – during the day as well.
- Please arrange larger celebrations with external guests with us in advance.
Outdoor area – garden, lake and pond
- The garden is laid out close to nature. Please do not eat any plants or fruit that you do not know for certain, and do not cut any plants or flowers.
- Please keep an eye on your children – poisonous plants such as ivy or cherry laurel and their berries may be present.
- The lake and the natural pond can pose a danger to children. Children who cannot swim confidently may stay at the lake, pond and jetty only under adult supervision.
- Please do not step into the shoreline area of the natural pond (a lined, delicate marsh zone).
- Please use the jetty with care. Jumping off the jetty is not permitted because of the shallow water (50–100 cm depending on the water level) and the associated risk of injury. To enter the lake, please use the bathing ladder only.
- Please use boats, canoes and SUPs only with appropriate experience.
- Please do not step into the immediate shoreline area behind the grass bed.
- Campfires are not permitted.
- Please do not barbecue too close to the house (minimum distance 2 m). The barbecue must be cleaned before departure. Please do not put hot embers into the wheelie bin.
- Please bring seat cushions and chairs from the lake into the garden house when it rains and before departure.
- The side garden gate must be kept closed at all times.
- Please park bicycles under the canopy at the side garden entrance. Caution: the projecting canopy is low – please mind your head when passing by.
Parking
- There are 3 parking spaces in front of the house. If you need more, please use the public car parks on the main road “Strandweg”.
Energy and water
- Please do not set the temperature higher than 21 °C.
- Please switch off lights and electrical appliances when leaving the house.
- Please use water sparingly – for the sake of the environment.
