Welcome to Lake Ternsche!
Dear guests,
a warm welcome to Lake House Ternsche – a place where peace, nature and a feel-good atmosphere come together. With great attention to detail we have created a retreat that invites you to relax, breathe deeply and enjoy.
For over 17 years it was the home and studio of the pop and rock star Chris Andrews (“Yesterday Man”). Where you can play table tennis today, songs were once composed and recorded. So the house has a colourful history.
We have put this guide together for you – with personal recommendations for restaurants, farm shops, places to shop and day trips around Selm and Olfen. Here you will find interesting information about the area and our suggestions for activities at Lake Ternsche and in the region. Our aim is for you to feel at home from the very first minute and to enjoy your stay to the fullest.

Lake Ternsche
Lake Ternsche lies right at your feet. It invites you to swim, fish or simply relax – all with complete privacy.
Fishing: If you would like to fish, you can buy a day ticket on the opposite side of the lake at the clubhouse of the Angelsportverein Dortmund 1091 e. V. Please note that you must hold a valid fishing licence to do so.

Tip: The climbing park can also be booked for children's birthday parties. Blue, red and black routes are available for different difficulty levels. Wetsuits can be hired – handy on cooler days too.

Before you leave
Departing Well – Checkout
What a shame that your lakeside break is coming to an end. We hope you enjoyed your stay with us – and we would be delighted to welcome you back. To make your departure nice and easy, here are the key points at a glance:
- Checkout is by 11 a.m.
- Please check all rooms to make sure you have not forgotten anything.
- Strip the beds and place the bed linen, including all towels, on the floor of the room.
- Please empty the bins of the waste-sorting station into the wheelie bins to the right of the house.
- Please take your glass waste with you.
- Please do not leave any food behind.
- Put the seat cushions from the lake, bathing items and the barbecue in the garden shed (turn off the gas bottle).
- Close all windows, patio doors and the side door to the garden.
- Check that the hob, coffee machine and lights are switched off.
- Put charging cables back in the cable bag in the lowboard.
- Pull the front door shut and press the arrow on the smart lock – this locks the door.
